"Cinnamon" is the evolution of Spoq's previous work: Deeply cinematic and emotional melodies meet lush textures and genre transcending beats. It is definitely introverted music inspired by life, people, nature with all its beauty but also it's edges, scratches, scars and conflicts. It is visual art, transformed into melodic adventures. It is a story without dialogue, a film without video. Wolfram Gruss, the writer behind Spoq, used his experience from composing film music to create an album, that has always also images in mind. Although all tracks are purely instrumental, the analogue and synthetic instruments used are highly associative. Throughout the 24 tracks ranging from Trip Hop, Ambient to IDM and Electro, the music is always thought provoking and organically stimulates the imagination of the listener. "Cinnamon" is Spoq's most complete and balanced album so far.
